A short drive out of Siena, nestled in an ancient village in the hills of the Sienese Montagnola and surrounded by nature, is this cosy cottage suitable for a family of 4 or for 2 couples.
Originally a brick baking kiln, this building has been carefully restored and converted into a 100 square metre cottage. The ground floor is composed of a spacious living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a twin bedroom. The second floor has a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
Outside there is a covered terrace equipped with table and chairs, a private swimming pool, barbeque, private laundry and parking places.
The cottage is located in the small hamlet of Marmoraia, whose name derives from the typical yellow Siena marble found in the area. The hamlet consists of a few scattered houses and the beautiful Romanesque church dedicated to Saints Mary and Gervasio.
The location is perfect for those wishing for peace and quiet in a green and tranquil setting yet with the opportunity to visit some of the most characteristic places of Tuscany such as Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, medieval villages and cities known all over the world.
